I had an accessories moment when I saw this frock from A Détacher via OfaKind. I’d immediately reach for the Roberto Cavalli satchel and the muted moss Sonia Rykiel platforms. Top it off with a clunky Chanel mineral pendant and we’re Soho ready m’thinks. Get that money.

Choice shots from Vogue’s June 2012 Olympian spread: A Brief Commentary
I am in love with these shots. To me, they seem to represent the mythical relationship between muse and artist translated to modern athlete worship. I think there’s also a bit of Homer in an Illiad sense, what with a goddess or god choosing a mortal hero to favor. The other shots in the spread struck me as dull compared to these because they didn’t communicate the same epic influence. The clothes are skillfully curated and showcased in all of them, as expected, but I think the dramatic motion was disrupted a bit by the other photos in the spread.
